At around 1:30 pm, a bomb exploded in Glorietta 2 in Makati. I hurriedly went to the site straight from Manila and this is what I saw. The media men were not allowed to go near the blast area but from my position, I can see how big the damage was.
The damaged part of the mall was the entrance of Glorietta 2. If my memory serves me right, this is the entrance to the cinema. Rescue personnel are already in the site when we arrived.
A closer look shows cars crumpled due to the impact of the blast.

I was able to take photos also of the casualties of the explosion. The photo below shows a lifeless body carried to an ambulance.

Many are speculating as to the reason of this blast. Initial reports was that it was caused by a leak in an lpg tank. I doubt though. The damage was so severe that it can not be caused merely by an lpg tank exploding.
If this is not an accident then this is a possible terrorist attack. The explosion happened in a high-traffic area. And in no less than Makati, the country’s financial district. The question is, who is the terrorist? And what are the possible reason why this particular terrorist planned an attack at this very day?
All I know is that early today, religious leaders demanded the resignation of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
