I was covering the special elections last May in the province of Lanao, Philippines. My base is in Marawi and I stayed in Marawi Resort Hotel, the only hotel in the area. I together with my reporter stayed in the supplies room/housekeeping of the hotel since it was fully booked during that time. My reporter even made a comment that we were lucky since we won’t have to wait for a few minutes if we want extra pillows, soap, coffee, or whatever we need from the hotel. Everything is by our bedside. Hehehehe.
Marawi Resort Hotel is inside the compound where the Mindanao State University-Marawi is located. One time, me and my driver went around the campus just to check the area and also to look for places to eat. The photo above caught my attention. I scratched my head and asked what the meaning of the sign was. What the letters P and D mean. A few seconds later, eureka! Oh you mean pedicab, the bicycle with a side car. Funny!
